The newest tenant at Township 5 in Camillus is a fitness studio. Elite Personal Fitness opened earlier this month. Owner John Mossotti has been a trainer at other area gyms for years. Elite uses a hybrid model of traditional personal training and group fitness classes. Members get a customized exercise plan, but work out in a group setting. The idea is to combine the benefits of individualized attention with the camaraderie built up in group classes, Mossotti said. Workouts take place at specific times throughout the day, but clients can come to any session they want, he added. Memberships start at $109 a month. Mossotti is running a special now to allow potential members to try the studio for three weeks at a cost of $49. Township 5 is a $58-million mixed-used project. It’ll have 500,000 square feet of space when finished including retail, offices and a 96-unit apartment complex. The development is located just off the Hinsdale Road exit of Route 5. Its main anchor is Costco, which opened in October. Since then, numerous other tenants have opened, including restaurants and retailers. A local restaurant, The Brasserie, opened in July. Another, Mitsuba Japanese Steakhouse, will open this fall. Another chain, Red Robin, will also open this fall. Work is underway on Township 5’s apartment complex, which will be managed by Morgan Management of Rochester. The development’s first office building is under construction too. It’ll be occupied by a medical tenant, Pediatric Associates. Movie Tavern, which offers in-theater dining and bar service, is also on its way to the project.
