The Village of Camillus is ready to move forward with plans to demolish the old Sonoco Station. The new building will be 2,770 square feet with a convenience store, Subway Restaurant and carwash. In addition it will also result with 20 new jobs.
For those of you who have seen the land being cleared on Thompson Rd off of Warners Rd. it is for a new development called Thompson Landing. This was approved prior to my taking office and I am in the process of gathering as much information as possible. The plans call for 31 lots to be developed. As soon as I have more information available I will make sure everyone is aware of it.

The developer is clearing some of the land at the project site so that potential tenants can get a better look. As previously mentioned there are a few tenants already signed but nothing has been publicly released. I hope to meet with Cameron group to get more details prior to the end of the summer.
Due to the July 4th holiday, Trash pick-up will be delayed 1 day this week starting today.
