The Finance Committee meeting has been rescheduled for Thursday, August 16 and will be held after the parks & recreation meeting which is slated for 4:30.

There will be a meeting in regards to WAVES expanding their district to encompass the entire town of Camillus.  The meeting will begin at 4:30.  Zoning & Planning Committee will also meet there after for discussion items under the Codes Department.  The Personnel Committee will also meet to discuss a personnel issue.

Just 2 items to report on.  Be on the watch in the Greenfield Village Development across from Reed Webster Park.  A new stop sign will be installed where Pinewood Drive intersects with Trotters Ridge Run.  Thank you to all the local neighbors who helped lend a voice for this safety measure.

Considering amending Chapter 30, Zoning- § 803 Temporary Signs, by adding a new subdivision which will read as follows:  “An A-frame sign with two faces not to exceed 6 sq. ft. erected so that its height does not exceed 4 feet above grade, which advertises the name of the business and or a product or service with or without price which can only be placed at the opening of the business daily and must be removed at the close of business daily.  No balloons, pinwheels, streamers, etc., may be attached to the sign.” (Per Councilor, Bill Davern)

1. Authorize the housing lease between the Town of Camillus and John Lytle for the Halloran residence located at Veteran’s Memorial Park at Gillie Lake from July 24, 2012 though August 1, 2013. (Per Eric Bacon, Parks and Recreation Director)
2. The Town of Camillus recognizes and shows appreciation for the Nine Mile Creek Conservation Council and Anheuser-Busch Inbev for their efforts in their Nine Mile Creek conservation/beautification projects.  (Per Eric Bacon, Parks and Recreation Director)

I recently had the pleasure of meeting with Chief Jason Mallore of the Fairmount Fire Department.  He was kind enough to give me a complete tour of their facilities.  We also had a lengthy discussion on the fantastic work that the department does for our community as well as the challanges that the department faces.  They are running a very effecient operation and have a great team in place.  I look forward to working with the department over the next few years.
