Effective January 1st the Town of Camillus will be switching to a 4 day a week trash pick up schedule.  This produced a nearly 28% per unit savings.  With the new schedule most residents in the 2nd Ward will have their trash picked up on a new day.  Click on the below link to view your street and see what day your pick-up falls on.  There is also information listed on the new vendor and items they will be picking up.      Trash Pick-up Info

There will be a change in the source of water for some residents in the Town of Camillus.  The area of the 2nd Ward affected by this are part of the Devoe Rd. Water District.  For futher information please see the attached.Notice to Water District Residents

** Town of Camillus Winter Parking Regulations ** No parking on town roads from 1:00 AM to 6:00 AM from December 1st to April 1st.

CAMILLUS NEW YORK – November 22, 2011 – The Camillus Police Department is requesting the assistance of our residences in keeping our roadways safe during the upcoming winter months.

In order to ensure safe roadways and to assist the Camillus Highway Department with their excellent snow removal efforts, Camillus Police Officers will be enforcing the winter parking ordinance. The Town of Camillus ordinance states that, “No motor vehicle or other vehicles of any kind shall be allowed or permitted to park on any Town Road or on property owned by the Town of Camillus between the hours of 1:00 AM to 6:00 AM from December 1st to April 1st of the next succeeding year.”

Each violation of this ordinance is declared to be a traffic infraction punishable by a fine of not less than ten dollars ($10.00) nor more than fifty dollars ($50.00) for the first offense and by a fine of not less than ten dollars ($10.00) nor more than fifty dollars ($50.00) for each subsequent offense, Plus Towing Charges.

The next meeting for the Joint SCA-CWPG is scheduled for Tuesday, December 13, from 4:00-6:00 pm.  It will be held at the NYS DEC regional office in Syracuse, NY.  Located at 615 Erie Blvd. West.  The meeting is open to the public however there is no comments permited from the public.

The Town of Camillus Tree Lighting Ceremony will take place on Monday, November 28th, 7:00 pm at the Town Hall on Genesee Street.  There will be music, hot chocolate and cookies and a visit from Santa.  It is asked that non-perishable food items be brought as donations to help feed the needy in Camillus.
