I am happy to announce that effective January 1, the Town of Camillus has a new Highway Superintendent, Paul Legnetto. Paul brings with him a wealth of knowledge having worked with the Town in several capacities as a consultant and also with the Onondaga County Department of Water & Environmental Protection. I would also like to congratulate and thank Mark Pigula on his retirement and his dedicated service to the town.

Town of Camillus Fireworks Sponsors Needed
January 24th, 2015On Saturday, June 27th the Town of Camillus will be holding their annual 4th of July celebration complete with a concert and fireworks at Veteran’s Park at Gillie Lake. This event is attended by thousands of residents and has become a tradition the community looks forward to every year.
Currently the Town of Camillus is seeking sponsorship for this year’s event. Sponsors are recognized by having their logo placed on a banner at the event and if donations are made in advance, mentioned in all press releases and the popular Parks and Recreation seasonal brochure. 1. Approve the maximum reimbursement limit for the Association of Towns’ annual meeting as follows: meals $50 per day, plus hotel, registration fee, and travel expenses with receipts.
2. Approve the contract between the Town of Camillus and WAVES for the period January 1, 2015 through December 31, 2015 in the amount of $410,000, to be paid on or about February 1, 2015 and authorize Supervisor to sign.
3. Approve the contract between the Town of Camillus and Lakeside Fire Department for the period January 1, 2015 through December 31, 2015 in the amount of $54,000, to be paid on or about March 15, 2015.
4. Approve the installation of two 100W high pressure fixtures to be installed on Willowwood Lane within the Greenfield Village Development at a cost not to exceed $355.40 and charge to the Consolidated Lighting District #8. (Per Councilor Mike LaFlair)
5. Approve the payment to Camillus Erie Canal Society, Inc. in the amount of $15,237 for monies it advanced to the Town for the Aqueduct Restoration Project. (Per Parks and Recreation Committee)
