Committee Mtg Notes – wk ending 4/21/12

     This week the Finance and Personnel Committees both met.  During the Finance Committee we discussed the year to date revenues and expenses for the Landfill and the Town in General.  Some contractual amounts have been renewed with updated negotiated numbers that should result in increased revenues and and decrease in energy expenses.

     Discussions on the landfill resulted in news that two potential projects in Onondaga County may bring some additional revenues to the Town with dumping fees from C & D. 

     In the Personnel Committee meeting there was a recent departure of a full-time Police Department Officer.  It was recommended that one of our part-time officers be offered the vacant position.  The town has also instituted a idling policy for all Town vehicles that should result in a decrease of fuel usage.
