On Read Across America Day on March 2nd at WCNYs Education Center, Onondaga County Executive Joanie Mahoney officially announced open enrollment countywide for Dolly Parton Imagination Library. The event had a Dr. Seuss theme, as the day is celebrated in conjunction with the birthday of the beloved childrens author. In just that first week over 1,000 new families enrolled their children. To date, we have now close to 3,000 new enrollments, with monthly books being mailed to 7,218 children and total delivered books at 124,875.
