2012 Budget The preliminary budget was recently finalized. Currently, the estimated cost of state-mandated retirement contributions from the Town of Camillus next year will surge to $1.1 million. That’s a 19.7% increase over this year, which accounts for nearly half of our projected 2012 budget deficit. This is just one mandate. The Town is proposing utilizing $350,000 from the General Reserves fund balance and a 1.6% tax increase. However, due to a new contract with Waste pick-up, the net effect to a homeowner assessed at $150,000 will be a reduction of approximately $20.00 in their yearly tax bill.
