The Camillus Police Department is requesting the assistance of our citizens to keep our roadways safe during the upcoming winter months.
In order to ensure safe roadways and to assist the Camillus Highway Department with their excellent snow removal efforts, Camillus Police Officers will be enforcing the winter parking ordinance.
The Town of Camillus ordinance states that, “No motor vehicle or other vehicles of any kind shall be allowed or permitted to park on any town road or on property owned by the Town of Camillus between the hours of 1:00 AM to 6:00 AM from December 1st to April 1st of the next succeeding year.”
Each violation of this ordinance is declared to be a traffic infraction punishable by a fine of not less than twenty five dollars ($25.00) for the first offense and by a fine of not less than twenty five dollars ($25.00) for each subsequent offense, Plus Towing Charges.

NEW BUSINESS
1. Amend the October 26, 2016 agreement between OCCRA and the Town of Camillus by extending the term expiration from September 30, 2021 to December 31, 2023 as provided in paragraph 5 (a). Also, the disposal fee set in paragraph 4 is to be amended as follows: $20 per ton for the first annual 20,000 tons. $25 per ton for any tonnage over 20,000 tons annually until the end of 2019. Commencing 2020 and thereafter annually this over 20,000 tonnage fee shall increase by 50 per year. This resolution is contingent upon the review and approval of an amending document to be prepared by OCCRA’s counsel and approved by the Town Attorney and the Supervisor is hereby authoroized to sign such a document.

Just a reminder that due to the Thanksgiving Holiday Trash Pickup will be delayed one day.
Also, all Town Offices will be closed Thursday and Friday.
A quick plug for our county employees who recently completed the expanded DOT facility in Camillus. The County Legislature originally budgeted $600,000 and the bids came in for the new salt shed for $750,000. Through the great work of the county employees they completed it for $300,000. A great example of responsible fiscal stewardship.

On behalf of the Town of Camillus, I would like to invite “you and yours” to the annual Christmas Tree Lighting to be held on Monday, November 26, 2018 at 6:00 PM at the Town of Camillus Municipal Building, 4600 West Genesee Street. Fairmount Fair Fire Department will bring Santa over in the “big rig”. Please make sure you bring the little ones and make this a family tradition for your family. We will begin our celebration with Christmas Carols sung by by Tom Dooley Choraliers. Free hot chocolate and cookies will be served. The Grace Assembly of God Children’s Choir will be singing Christmas Carols in the gym. New this year will be photo booth’s sponsored by Fairmount Community Library. Please come ready to take a family photo!
This year we are partnering with Interreligious Food Consortium. Please bring one nonperishable food item per person to help those in need. Examples: canned goods – like corn, fruit, beans, spaghetti sauce, paper products, and boxes of dry goods like pasta, cereal, rice, instant potatoes, hygiene products, laundry soap and dish soap.

1. Approve the transfer of $7,488.00 from the Special Building Account A.0000.0201.0000 to Account A.1620.0420 for the refinishing of the gym floor located at Town Hall.
2. Set the date, time, and place as December 11, 2018 at 7:00 P.M. at the Camillus Municipal Building to hold a public hearing to consider extending the Gulf Road Sewer at no cost to the Town of Camillus. (Per Councilor Steve James)
3. Effective November 14, 2018 appoint Colleen Sauer, 131 Lookout Circle as Planning Board Clerk with an hourly wage of $18.00 per hour. (Per Councilor Dave Callahan)
