Many have expressed questions into what is being proposed for development at the former site of the Fairmount Community Church. From the Planning Board Minutes of April 9, 2018. Please note these are conceptual in nature:
Mr. Stephen Calocerinos, of Calocerinos Engineering, representing Rocklyn West and
Mr. Arthur Kanerviko, of Rocklyn West asked to have an informal discussion regarding
the former site of the Fairmount Community Church located at the corner of West
Genesee Street and Whedon Road.
The property involved is contains three parcels. There are two larger parcels totaling
approximately 6 acres which will be developed as part of the proposal. There is a third
parcel in the lower quadrant of the property which contains a single family house which
will not be part of the project and will be maintained and owned by another entity.
The proposal is for two multi-family buildings. The buildings will be three story
buildings, with basement level garages. There will be a total of 84 units. A community
center is planned along with a 9000 square foot commercial building. The commercial
building will house professional businesses such as real estate, an accounting office
and a medical office.
